We are deeply concerned about the situation in Gaza. We have lost contact with some of our Palestinian colleagues on the ground. We are particularly worried for the patients, medical staff and thousands of families taking shelter at Al Shifa hospital and other health facilities.

"Apelamos à inequívoca proteção de todas as instalações médicas, pessoas e civis em toda a Faixa de Gaza", acrescentou.

Israel afirmou que o Hamas possui um bunker subterrâneo sob o hospital al-Shifa. 

The Shifa Hospital is not only the largest hospital in Gaza but it also acts as the main headquarters for Hamas’ terrorist activity.

Responsáveis do grupo palestiniano negaram tal cenário, tal como pessoal médico que lá trabalha. O al-Shifa é o maior hospital de Gaza e um dos poucos que se mantém a funcionar.
